Prospective Students
I do not normally fund Masters students and support PhD students only after they have completed a course with me. This provides an opportunity for mutual evaluation before making any commitments.
If you are not yet at Indiana University
Do not send me e-mail if you are considering applying to Indiana University. I cannot tell you whether or not you will receive an admission based on your CV and / or GRE and TOEFL scores. If you write such an e-mail, unfortunately, you will not receive a response.
If you have already applied to the PhD program at Indiana University and are interested in working with me, you may contact me explaining why you would like to work with me. This still does not guarantee a response and a generic looking e-mail will almost certainly go unanswered.
If you are already at Indiana University
If you have not yet completed a course with me, it is highly unlikely that I will agree to support you. In all likelihood I will ask you to first enroll in a graduate course—either a regular course or an independent study—before I am able to commit.
If you have already completed a course with me and are interested in working on a research project with me, I encourage you to contact me and schedule a meeting.
